B&O and Imerge entertainment in a luxury country retreat Cambridge, UK: B&O Exeter has installed a multi-zone Imerge MS1-HD media server in a country retreat, which is used by its owners as a luxury getaway.
James Simons, manager of the B&O Exeter store, says the server was chosen because a simple to use, high end entertainment system was needed - one that integrated seamlessly with the B&O control system "We needed to provide high quality, independent blu-ray movies and music to six of the main guest rooms, plus entertainment area, using the Imerge. B&O codes published on the company's website enabled us to create something special that was fully controllable from the B&O remote," James explains. "The customer had chosen our televisions and audio systems. We were recommended Imerge by HQ because they knew Imerge products had an exceptional reputation for quality and reliability. The company was absolutely fantastic and guided us through all of the available choices and provided training. As our customer wanted to access music and movies in all of the available rooms, the MS1-HD seemed like the perfect solution as it could play different media in multiple rooms simultaneously. The system can also archive hundreds of movies and tens of thousands of music tracks, which means the customer doesn't have the problem of unsightly disc storage or of trying to find an elusive disc that you think you have purchased but just can't locate. By having everything on one server you don't end up buying the same disc twice."
The property in question is set in the heart of the West Country, one of the most picturesque areas in the UK. The owner employs two full time staff to manage the house, which provides the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside and enjoy country pursuits. "The reception rooms and each of the six huge guest bedrooms now have access to a wealth of music and movies on demand," James adds. "If the owner or one of his guests wants to listen to a track that isn't already on the server, they can access an online store and immediately download whatever they want. It is such a simple and fail-safe system that we had no hesitation in recommending it." James adds that the customer loves the Imerge/B&O combination and is thoroughly enjoying having such a great music and entertainment system at his disposal. |
